Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming; Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there: Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In fully glory reflected now shines in the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh, long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution! No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh, thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust": And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Pulling off pit road, on the poll, first number 40, Second number 1, Third number 11 (SimplyMe)
And, they're off!
As number 40 pulls ahead of the pack, number 11 shortens the gap, coming up on number 1
After a couple of laps and going into the corner, number 11 tightens in even more on number 1, getting ready to make his move!...
The next lap, number 11 deep and low in the corner reaches beyond the suggested speed of 70mph (in the corners) to close the gap on the number 1 car at speeds of close to 80mph, trying to keep the car from spinning out... But pushes through the corner heading to the straight away.
Pulling out of the corner and into the straight away, number 11 jumps from 80mph to 121mph in just feet, to start his move to take second place...
On the next lap, Number 11 positions himself to make his big move in the corner...
Coming at number 1, number 11 makes his move and drops down close to the apron and takes over car number 1 in the corner!
On the back straight away, number 11 starts pulling away from number 1 to claim his second place position and setting his sights on car number 40
Two laps later and only one lap to go, coming into the corner, number 11 sees number 40 just five car links ahead and starts his move to take number 40, to put himself in first place and to take the lead
And with little time left, number 11 swoops down in the corner and pushes deep into the lower pocket to make his move on the second place car... Pushing well over the suggested speed limits in the corners, number 11 passes number 40 to take first place!
And as the checkered flag flies... The "big green mean machine" number 11 crosses the finish line to take the race!
As the winner climbs out of his car...
