Let it rain

Ahh, let it rain, let it rain. This rain is wonderful. I stand just inside the doorway to the rain falling on the deck with the thunder in the background. The smell of the rain is fantastic. As I thank God, God has blessed me. Let it rain, let it rain.

"Namaste"

Someone (remaining nameless) said to me today; "Namaste". As I was not sure what this meant, I looked it up and this is what I found. (See Below) I would like to yes to this person, thank you and I'm glad you had me learn the meaning. As I bow to you...

The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another. "Nama" means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you."

Practice everyday to remember, you are a Spiritual being having a human experience.

The outlook of your outlook

You know, the way we look at this economy is just what we will get... or at least how fast we will get there. All I have heard on the News is a bad take on everything. Now true, we are having a bad time right now and may have a hard time for some time... but that's just it... if we continue to have an outlook of "bad", "damaged", "screwed up", or helpless... well, then that is just what we will continue to have. Have you read or seen on the TV News, any positive messages about our economy? I would think not. Did you know that 92% of Americans have jobs? Did you know that a little MORE than 90% are NOT late on their mortgage payments? If you take it straight from the nightly News... you would think that EVERYBODY is losing their homes, or at least late on their payments... you might also think that everybody has lost their jobs! And YES! I know that we are having some bad times and things are tough. All I am saying is... if we just keep harping on the "end of the good times" way of thinking... then well, that is exactly what we will continue to have. Please.... someone tell somebody, "we are doing better than the nightly News would say." 

Lets look at the definition of the word "Economy":

The wealth and resources of a country or region, esp. in terms of the production and consumption of goods and services.

The production of goods..... Hey! We have the production going on "right" now.... remember, that's called; Jobs. (Remember 92%)

The consumption of goods.... Oh, like we Americans have ever had a problem with consuming goods! NOT! Again, this is the economy we are talking about.... SO, get out there and talk up some good thoughts... do you want this bad economy to last a few months or a few years? I would think you would want it to be over as soon as possible. Me too.... so, start talking about how things are not that bad and we are coming back on our feet soon!!!! Not later.

Remember, you are what you speak... if you speak a bad game... believe me, you will receive a bad lot in life. Have you ever heard a blessed, rich (in life or money)  person talk about how bad their outlook is? No, you hear happy, believing, positive words out of their mouth. So why are you talking, speaking this trash from your lips... is your heart in the trash? I don't know... you tell me.

Weekend

Even with all the rain this weekend, it has been a great time to get
those things done that I would not have had time normally. Next week
holds a lot work and personal events.

 This was the snow day we had recently and Tony was so ready to sit in front of his fireplace and enjoy the day.
